Association Arbitration


       The Court of Arbitration is a nongovernmental organization that operates without the assistance, and it is established to provide the settlement of disputes subordinated to the Court of Arbitration.

      The Court of Arbitration is authorized to arbitrate disputes that have been risen from civil relations if the parties have agreed to hand over the dispute for the settlement to the Court of Arbitration, and if the dispute has not brought under the exclusive court jurisdiction.

   There are highly qualified Judges in the List of Judges of the Court of Arbitration, as well the parties can come to the agreement to ask other Judges for the procedure.

    The Court of Arbitration is an effective method to arbitrate the disputes, in comparison with the State Institutions The Court of Arbitration has such the advantage as simplified order of settlement of disputes, the parties are authorized to choose the place and the language of the settlement of the dispute. The decision of The Court of Arbitration comes into force at the day of its signing. It cannot be appealed, and the protest on it cannot be submitted.

      The member of the Auditor Company Ltd ”Alfa Faktors” made the decision to establish The Court of Arbitration on November 7th, 2000 confirming the Regulations of The Court of Arbitration, and accordingly by submitting the application to the Ministry of Justice with the request to register the independent Court of Arbitration established under the Auditor Company Ltd “Alfa Faktors” on November 9th , 2000. The largest amount of the submitted and examined cases was registered on the year 2004 when The Court of Arbitration examined 40 (forty) civil cases.

      In conformity with the amendments of Civil Process of the Republic of Latvia on April 28th, 2005, The Court of Arbitration registered in the Register of The Courts of Arbitration with the registration No. 40003741242. On March 17th, 2014, in the Register of the Court of Arbitration there was registered the change of founders of the Court of Arbitration. The current founder of the Court of Arbitration is association “Latvijas šķīrējtiesas asociācija”.
